TREATMENT VS CLEANING

A lot of people do not know the difference between our TREATMENT ( Cleaning, Polishing, Coating ) and ordinary cleaning. We will try to explain below :

Cleaning your panels is usually done by using a window cleaning brush with de-ionised water. However, CLEANING THE PANELS IS JUST 20% OF THE WHOLE PROCESS OF TREATING YOUR PANELS.

To put it in perspectives, cleaning 16 panels can take 1 person 30 minutes to 1 hour,  to start and finish. Treating 16 panels will take 2 well trained people, 3 to 4 hours, to start and finish. Sometimes, it takes 5 hours.

Please see the steps involved in treating your solar panels below :

(1) 1ST STEP – WE CLEAN THE PANELS


Cleaning of the panels is done using long poles with specialized brushes and 0 PPM de-ionised water. All THE surface dust and dirt are to be cleaned off. This is what you get when someone comes around to clean your panels for you. But, this is just a fifth or 20% of what we do. Please continue reading.

(2) 2ND STEP – WE WIPE THE PANELS.


You might think that cleaning the panels with a brush and de-ionised water will be enough to clean the panels. But, you will be surprised. After cleaning the panels, WE MUST WIPE THEM WITH A WHITE 100% COTTON TOWEL, DAMPED WITH DISTILLED WATER. This is DISTILLED WATER, NOT DE-IONISED WATER.

This will ensure that other dirt and vehicle emissions that have deeply deposited themselves on the panel surface are removed. After cleaning the panels, you will be surprised that when we wipe the panels with the WHITE towel, it will come back looking BLACK, because of the hidden dirt and dust on the panel surface. THE PANELS MUST BE WIPED thoroughly before starting the 3rd process. In fact, the white towel must come back looking white, before we proceed to step 3.

(3) 3RD STEP – WE POLISH THE PANELS


After the wiping the panels, the whole panel surface is polished with a special polisher, and finally, the polisher is wiped off with distilled water. Any dirt that was missed by the CLEANING and WIPING PROCESS, will be removed by the polishing process. After polishing the panels, they will be looking very shiny.

(4) 4TH STEP – WE WIPE THE PANELS AGAIN.


After polishing the panel surface and wiping off the polish, the panels must again be wiped off with a specialized wiping cloth. Any VERY FINE sediments that are still left on the panels, which perhaps, were too tiny for the towels to remove, THIS SPECIALIZED towel will remove them.

At this stage, the panels will look soo shiny that if you touch the panel surface with your finger, your finger-prints will be clearly visible on the panels.

(5) 5TH – FINALLY, WE COAT THE PANELS

Finally, we coat the panel with a specialized spray gun. The coating will form a shield on the panel surface, protecting the panel surface from the elements. Rather than the elements wearing and tearing down your panel surface, it is the coating that the elements will be interacting directly with.

Due to the physical and chemical properties of the coating, the panel surface will become ANTI-FADING, ANTI-CORROSIVE, ANTI-SCRATCHING, ANTI-MOSS, ANTI-ALGAE etc for up to 20 years.

WE ARE YET TO MEET ANY CUSTOMER THAT IS NOT SURPRISED ABOUT HOW SHINY THE PANELS LOOK, AFTER THE TREATMENT. The finished job is always looking as shiny as a mirror.

 

10 BENEFITS OF TREATMENT vs ORDINARY CLEANING

(8) Solar Panels sunlight absorption will be normal. Solar Panels sunlight absorption is increased due to a special property of the coating that reduces the reflection of the sunlight, thereby increasing the electricity production by up to 6% extra .
